We Donated Books to San Pasqual Academy

When Foster Book Club learned about San Pasqual Academy, a residential school serving foster youth ages 12-17, we knew we wanted to partner with them! On Oct. 6, Foster Book Club dropped off a variety of middle-grade books with foster care representation.
This book donation drop-off with San Pasqual Academy (SPA) marks our sixth partnership with local foster family agencies or organizations that provide services for kids in foster care.

SPA is located in northern San Diego County on a campus "equipped with all the amenities of a private high school, including classrooms, an auditorium, library, gym, and cafeteria." Their website adds, "On-grounds sports and activities include basketball, weightlifting, swimming, softball, football."
San Pasqual Academy provides "a strengths-based approach to positive youth development, social learning theory, and trauma-informed care." SPA is part of a triad of services that also includes a treatment center and foster family agency.
"Being able to donate books to San Pasqual Academy is extra special because of the incredible work they do for youth in foster care," says Nico Waters, founder/executive director of Foster Book Club. "We are honored to add San Pasqual Academy to our growing list of partnerships and hope to collaborate again soon."
